New Chamber Website!

After eight months of working on this it is finally up and running! The Chamber would like to announce its brand new website! Although the address http://www.beloitchamber.com is the same, the site is more professional, attractive and user friendly. I am still working on updating some of the pictures and content on each of the pages but hope to have it complete by the end of summer. I am very proud that the Board made the decision to enhance our website.

Please take a moment and check it out! If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am very excited in the direction the Chamber is heading!

Cottage Celebrations, a local cake decorating business, has applied for a $100,000 grant from Chase’s, Mission Main Street Grants®. Cottage Celebrations submitted a questionnaire outlining a business plan that will result in growth of the business and must receive at least 250 votes to be eligible for a grant. Customers, fans and community members can show support for Cottage Celebrations by voting at https://www.missionmainstreetgrants.com/b/27405 using Facebook Connect.
The voting deadline is June 19, 2015 and grant recipients will be selected by expert panelists. Cottage Celebrations is striving to grow and expand by serving Beloit and the surrounding area with high quality and delicious cakes, cookies, and confections for all sizes of celebrations and events. “Business is steadily growing and is already starting to out-grown the small kitchen in the house rented and licensed by the state solely for cake decorating. I am hoping to relocate to a larger and more visible facility within the next year and receiving this grant would be an unbelievable opportunity to expand right when it is needed most,” said business owner, Julie Nichols.

Through Mission Main Street Grants, Chase will award $2 million to 20 small businesses across America. The 20 grant recipients will be announced in September 2015. Please help Julie by voting at the above link. Good Luck Julie!
